Nick Piludu serves as the Director of Technical Knowledge at Blue Ventures since October 2021, previously holding the role of Interim Tech & Knowledge Coordinator and Technical Advisor for Mangroves and Blue Carbon. Prior experience includes managing the Seagrass Ecosystem Services Project at the Convention on Migratory Species (UNEP-CMS) from January 2020 to September 2021, and serving as Conservation Programmes Manager and Country Manager for Timor-Leste at Blue Ventures from March 2017 to January 2020. Nick's earlier roles include Conservation Coordinator and Development Assistant at BirdLife Malta, Outreach Manager at Legambiente Sardegna, and Wildlife Ranger at Associazione per il Parco Molentargius. Additionally, experience as a Conservation Biologist at Madagasikara Voakajy and Wildlife/Tourism Ranger at SOS Tartarugas contribute to a robust conservation background. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Conservation from Bangor University and a Master of Science in Forest Ecology from the University of Copenhagen, along with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental and Land Engineering from Università degli Studi di Cagliari.
