Position Purpose: The Electrical Engineer II will engage in a broad range of electrical engineering research, development, and support as a member of a diverse, cross-functional team. They will expand their skillset as they gain experience developing next generation satellite electronics as part of our world class electrical engineering team!

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Range: $80,000 - $140,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Job Responsibilities:
• Design electronics (schematic capture & PCB design) for complex space grade products
• Use a variety of tools to analyze and simulate electrical designs, selecting the best tool for the job as required.

  Some of the common tools we use are Altium Design, LTSpice, Siemens HyperLynx
• Work in a fast-paced team environment on both R&D and production projects. Complete tasks with evolving requirements.

   Demonstrate strong ownership of the design process and an ability to work primarily independently.
• Debug hardware in a laboratory environment with common lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies,

   and multimeters.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Test, Software, and FPGA design teams and

   other specialized teams to develop high quality, reliable hardware for our customers.

Required Qualifications/Education:
• BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Computer Engineering
• 2+ years of hardware design experience. Advanced academic degrees, internship or research experience may count

  toward the required experience
• Strong ability to communicate with other engineers, management, and external customers over both written and verbal

  communication channels.
• Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of electrical engineering.
• Familiarity with at least one schematic capture/layout tool and at least one spice-based simulation tool.
• Expertise in one or more technical areas: power electronics/power conversion, analog design, sensors design and interface,

  electromechanical systems, digital design, FPGA design, automated test development, EMI/EMC, PCB design/manufacture,

  or other relevant area.
• Experience designing for harsh or mission critical environments including one of aerospace, automotive, aviation, medical,

  or naval.
• Experience designing to industry standards (such as EMI/EMC).

Working Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. BCT anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted.  However, factors such as candidate flow and business necessity may require BCT to shorten or extend the application window.
