Title: Manufacturing Engineering Lead
Position Type: Full Time
Pay Range: $105,000 - $175,000
(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Position Purpose: The Manufacturing Engineering Lead is responsible for leading a team of manufacturing engineers focusing on the production of Spacecrafts and Spacecraft Components.
Job Responsibilities:
Own production execution of Spacecraft or Spacecraft Components, driving on-time and on-cost delivery
Lead a team of manufacturing engineers, responsible for daily work assignments, training, and mentoring.
Provide technical guidance on Electrical, Mechanical, RF, Optical, and Spacecraft manufacturing
Support development of build schedules with Manufacturing Product Leads, Program Managers, and Planners
Develop, maintain, and own assembly instructions, fixturing/tooling, and production processes
Analyze and resolve manufacturing and test defects to determine root cause and corrective action.
Contribute to design reviews & new product introduction, acting as the subject matter expert for design for manufacturability and procureability
Utilize lean manufacturing techniques to identify, communicate, and resolve factory bottlenecks
Develop factory roadmap to continuously improve production through process improvements, automation, and design for manufacturability
Other responsibilities as assigned
May include personnel management responsibilities
Required Qualifications/Education:
BS or AAS degree in an Engineering field or equivalent discipline.
7+ years of experience in a manufacturing or manufacturing support role with experience in multiple core product areas: Electronics, Mechanical/Machining, Optics, or RF.
Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education
Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. BCT anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted.
