Ivo Clarysse

CTO at Blue Clover Devices

Ivo Clarysse has over 20 years of experience in the tech industry. Ivo began their career in 1998 as a Research Scientist and CTO of Starlab, where they were responsible for IT operations, HW/SW development of a Linux/StrongARM-based wearable computer platform, and development of a QuickTime4Linux CODEC for the DV-PAL format with MPEG7 transcoding. Ivo also represented the company in the W3C Advisory Council and ISOC. In 2001, they worked as a Software Developer at EMC and as an Embedded Software Consultant at CoreSequence. In 2002, they became a Software Developer at Pajamanation, and in 2004, a Senior Software Developer at Philips Home Control. In 2011, they were appointed Chief Technology Officer at Scanadu. In 2015, they took on the role of Principal Firmware Engineer at Blue Clover Devices - THE IoT ODM, where they formalized and automated tailored quality assurance and design control processes. In 2017, they became a Sr. Firmware Engineer at Doppler Labs, where they developed, tested and maintained embedded systems software for ARM and XAP-based microcontrollers. Finally, in 2020, they became the CEO and Technology Consultant of DSEQ, a high-tech research & consulting company with experience in secure device and networking solutions.

Ivo Clarysse's education history includes attending Sint-Romboutscollege Mechelen from 1986 to 1992, KU Leuven from 1992 to 1996 for Computer Science, Brainbench from 2000 to 2004 for an Information Technology certificate, and CUNY New York City College of Technology from 2011 to present for a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems.
