Mark Newcomer's work experience includes various roles at different companies. Mark began their career as an Acquisitions Analyst at Ferrellgas in 2003. In 2008, they joined Bryan Cave LLP as an Attorney. In 2012, they joined Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City as an Associate General Counsel. Mark then progressed through various positions, including Managing Attorney, Deputy General Counsel, Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, and currently serves as the Vice President and General Counsel.

Mark Newcomer attended the University of Missouri-Columbia from 1997 to 2002 where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance. During the same period, they also attended the University of Missouri Trulaske College of Business, where they pursued the same field of study. Mark later went on to attend the University of Kansas School of Law from 2005 to 2008 and obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law.
