Raelene Knolla

Raelene Knolla has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Starting in 2011, they worked as a Physician and Assistant Professor at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. In 2009, they joined the University of Kansas Medical Center where they held multiple roles including Residency Director, Consult Medical Director, and Physiatrist. Raelene'sresponsibilities included managing the acute inpatient rehab unit, consulting in various clinics, and specializing in neurosciences and rehabilitation for conditions such as TBI, CVA, and SCI. In 2013, they became a Medical Director at Humana, where they served until 2018. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Medical Director/ VP of Population Health at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City since 2018.

Raelene Knolla has an extensive education history. Starting from 1994 to 1999, they attended Florida State University - College of Business, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from the College of Business. In 2001, they enrolled at Kansas City University, completing the degree of Osteopathic Physician in 2005. Simultaneously, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) at Rockhurst University, specializing in Health/Health Care Administration/Management. Raelene later joined the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2005 and completed an Internal Medicine internship, followed by a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency from 2006 to 2009, specializing in Rehab Medicine.
