Kienan Christianson

Kienan Christianson is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as a Compliance Officer and Assistant General Counsel at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont since March 2021. In this role, Kienan provides legal advice on various laws affecting the organization, drafts legal documents, manages contracts with third-party vendors, and ensures compliance with employment law. Prior to this position, Kienan worked as an Associate at LYNN, LYNN & BLACKMAN, P.C., where Kienan represented Vermont’s public school districts in a variety of legal matters, including labor disputes and an investigation by the Department of Justice. Kienan also argued a landmark case before the Vermont Supreme Court, enhancing municipal liability. Earlier experiences include a Project Attorney role at The Vermont Network Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, managing cases and providing training, and an Associate position at Dinse, Knapp & McAndrew, successfully litigating on behalf of clients. Kienan holds a Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from New York Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Vocal Performance from Western Washington University.
