Amsul Khanal

Amsul Khanal is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in clinical informatics and biomedical research. As the Director of Clinical Informatics at Blue Cross Blue Shield Association since February 2016, Amsul Khanal manages a data science team and has overseen the technical development of platforms such as Evidence Street® and the Evidence Positioning System®. Previous roles include Program Manager at the same organization, focusing on market analysis through advanced algorithms and predictive analytics. Amsul Khanal's academic journey includes a PhD in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, where research involved innovative drug delivery methods and aerosol technology. Additionally, Amsul Khanal has held positions as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Biomedical Research Institute and as a Graduate Research Assistant, demonstrating a strong foundation in both research and mentorship.
