Josh Wilson

Josh Wilson, MBA, is an accomplished communications leader with extensive experience in healthcare and emergency management. Currently serving as Executive Director of External Communications at Blue Cross Blue Shield Association since July 2023, Wilson previously held the position of Director of Strategic Communications at Children's National Hospital, where responsibilities included managing public relations and crisis communications. At Nemours, leadership roles included Director of Public Relations, where Wilson modernized communication strategies and significantly increased media placements. Earlier experience includes key positions at FEMA as Director of External Affairs and as Communications Director for a mayoral campaign. Wilson’s career began in journalism, with roles as an investigative reporter and anchor at various television stations. Academic credentials include an MBA from Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Vermont.
