Jac J. Amerell

Jac J. Amerell has had a long and successful career in finance and accounting. Their most recent role was as Vice President and Corporate Controller at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan since 2014. Prior to that, they served as Vice President & Controller at Genworth from 2006 to 2014. Earlier in their career, Amerell held various positions at Northwestern Mutual, including Finance Director and Investment and Derivative Accounting Director. They began their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where they worked as a Senior Manager for over a decade.

Jac J. Amerell has a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Investment and Banking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Jac J. also holds a Master's Degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Additionally, Jac has completed an Executive Education program in High Performance Leadership from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.

In terms of additional certifications, they have obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst - Level One certification from the CFA Institute in January 2017. Jac is also working towards obtaining the Certified Public Accountant certification from the AICPA.
