Donna Huntley-Newby

Director at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island

Dr. Huntley-Newby is a registered nurse with nearly two decades of teaching experience. She is currently an associate professor of nursing at Rhode Island College School of Nursing and an adjunct professor of nursing at Salve Regina University. She is a former member of the senior faculty at the Cambridge College School Nurse Education. In addition to educating the next generation of nurses, she has held leadership positions at Rhode Island Hospital, where she was the director of the Center for Practice Excellence. Dr. Huntley-Newby has also held a range of positions as a practicing nurse, with a focus on pediatrics and public health. A recipient of dozens of awards for her contributions to the community and role as a nurse educator, Dr. Huntley-Newby is a graduate of Northeastern University (Bachelor of Science in Nursing), University of Alabama at Birmingham (Masters of Science in Nursing) and Boston College (PhD).
