Joe Friedrichsen

Joe Friedrichsen has a diverse work experience in the technology and insurance industry. Joe worked at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island as a Managing Director, where they were responsible for infrastructure and operations. Prior to that, they held the position of Managing Director at the same company, overseeing business engagement and quality assurance.

Joe also served as a Board of Advisor at Apexa Corporation, providing guidance and advice to help grow the organization.

In their previous role at Fidelity Investments, Joe held various positions including Vice President of Technology, Vice President of Software Engineering, Director of IT Services - Retail Banking, Director of Product Management, Director of Engineering, Director of Engineering - Voice and Data Network, and Director of Desktop Services. Joe achieved goals in architecting service-oriented architecture solutions, maturing development processes, and implementing innovative technologies to enhance customer experiences.

Before joining Fidelity, Joe worked at Travelers Insurance, where they served as a Director of Desktop Services, managing troubleshooting and installation of technology in field offices. Joe also worked at Aetna Property and Casualty Insurance Company as a Desktop Support Manager.

Joe Friedrichsen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Northeastern University from 1984 to 1989. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications including COMPTIA Security + from CompTIA in August 2016, Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance in June 2016, ITIL V3 from HP in February 2010, Product Manager Certification from Pragmatic Marketing/Institute in April 2009, and a Six Sigma Yellow Belt in 2006.
