Matt Tilghman

Matt Tilghman's work experience begins with their role as the CTO, partner, and co-founder of Blue Frontier, Inc. starting in 2017. In this position, they are responsible for designing and simulating transformative technology, leading technical aspects of grant proposals, investor relations, and government partnerships.

Prior to their role at Blue Frontier, Matt Tilghman worked as the Principal Systems Engineer at Be Power Tech, Inc. from 2015 to 2017. In this role, they were in charge of system modeling, developing overall system models, and conducting experiments to validate model performance.

Furthermore, Matt Tilghman had an internship at Sandia National Laboratories in 2010 and Schlumberger in 2008, where they gained experience in energy systems and mechanical engineering, respectively.

Matt Tilghman completed their education in the field of engineering, focusing on mechanical and aerospace engineering. Matt started their academic journey at Princeton University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science and Engineering degree from 2005 to 2009. Following this, they pursued further studies at Stanford University, earning a Masters of Science and Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2009 to 2011. Finally, they went on to complete their education at Stanford University, obtaining a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from 2011 to 2014.
