Katherine Peterson

Katherine Peterson is the Senior Vice President, Controller at Blue Hills Bank. Katherine has over 25 years of experience in the banking industry. Katherine started their career at Blue Hills Bank in August 2013 as the SVP Controller. In April 2019, they left Blue Hills Bank to become the Chief Accounting Officer at HarborOne Bank. Katherine was with HarborOne Bank for 18 months before returning to Blue Hills Bank in September 2020.

During their time at Blue Hills Bank, they were responsible for the day-to-day oversight and administration of the finance and accounting department. Katherine also played a key role in the $277.7 million initial public common stock offering in July 2014. Her responsibilities included pro-forma financial and capital modeling, preparation of SEC filings, and preparation or review of investor presentations.

In addition to their work with the finance and accounting department, they also participated in various management committees such as the Bank’s Asset Liability Committee, Senior Management Risk Management Committee, and Management Credit Committee, and IT Steering Committee. Katherine also chaired the Disclosure Committee charged with review of quarterly SEC filings and internal control attestations.

Katherine Peterson earned their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire. Katherine then went on to earn their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from UNH Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics. Katherine is also certified by the AICPA in Chartered Global Managment Accountant and by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in Certified Public Accountant.

Their manager is William M. Parent, President & Chief Executive Officer. They work with Kevin F. Malone - Executive Vice President, Commercial Banking, Marilyn Agulnick-House - Senior Vice President, Team Leader Commercial Banking, and Keith Broyles - Senior Vice President, Team Leader Asset-Based Banking.
