Marcos Silva is a decorated Army veteran who severed in the United States Army as a Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Specialist. Because of his training and experience in computer science, he was recalled to active duty during Iraq war where he implemented the (TOC) Tactical Operations Command to monitor and communicate in real-time with the troops in the field. Marcos was the Army’s 2005 Chemical Corp Soldier of the Year in recognition of a software program he designed for chemical warfare which is still used today. Pursuant to his career with the military, Marcos joined the St Louis Metropolitan Police Department and now, as a detective, is responsible for the design, implementation and operation of the real time crime center.
Marcos grew his vision for facial recognition from monitoring the patterns in “repeat” offenders that often found their way back into establishments. He saw the need for methods to identify these individuals before they could cause a problem again. Working with fellow law enforcement experts has spawned the creation of several application solutions.
