Blue Marble Space Institute of Science
Lorraine Christine is currently serving as a Visiting Scholar and Research Associate in the Young Scientist Program at the Blue Marble Space Institute of Science, focusing on the characterization and cataloging of the microbiome aboard the International Space Station since May 2022. Previously, Lorraine conducted scientific research in astrobiology with a focus on magnetotactic bacteria at Desbravadoras do Universo from December 2021 to January 2023, while also creating educational materials. Additional experience includes a scientific initiation at the Instituto de Botânica de São Paulo and participation as a special master's student in Bioinformatics at the Universidade de São Paulo. Lorraine has also worked in biology monitoring at Unifesp. Lorraine is pursuing a Master's degree in Bioinformatics at USP and holds a Bachelor's degree in General Biology from Unifesp.
