Vinayak Shastri F.R.A.S. is a dedicated PhD student at The Open University, currently involved in a STFC-funded project on Water Ice Clouds on Mars with the ExoMars Team. In addition, Vinayak serves as a Visiting Scholar at the Blue Marble Space Institute of Science, focusing on 1D Martian Photochemical Modelling. Previously, Vinayak worked as a Research Assistant at the University of St Andrews in the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences. Vinayak holds an MPhys (Hons) in Astrophysics from the University of St Andrews and has completed a Research Training course in Astrobiology, along with an Undergraduate Research Assistance Scheme. Vinayak's academic journey includes A-Levels from Wilson's School and a foundational education at Archbishop Tenison’s CofE High School.
