Tom Horan is an experienced editorial consultant and freelance journalist with a diverse background in cultural journalism. Currently serving as an Editorial Consultant for SWAROVSKI and the Blue Marine Foundation, Tom has also contributed to Guardian News & Media since 2012 and worked as Culture Editor at Large for NOWNESS from 2014 to 2016. Previous roles include Associate Lecturer in Journalism at the University of the Arts London and Editorial Consultant for the Office of Gordon and Sarah Brown Limited. Tom served as Culture Editor for the Telegraph Media Group from 2002 to 2012. Known as Blue Marine, this UK registered charity was set up in 2010 by some of the team behind the award-winning documentary film ‘The End of the Line’. Blue Marine is dedicated to creating marine reserves and establishing sustainable models of fishing. Its mission is to campaign against over-fishing and for the effective protection of 30% of the world’s oceans by 2030.
