Velda Arnaud

Velda Arnaud serves as the Department Chair for Business and Leadership at Blue Mountain Community College since September 2014, where responsibilities include coordinating course schedules, developing relationships with advisory committee members, and teaching various course formats. Arnaud has a dual role as a writer, focusing on early 20th-century crime and self-publishing works, including "Wanted: Crime in California." Previous experience includes being a Board Director at the Pendleton Chamber of Commerce and several instructional roles at Lane Community College, where curriculum development and vendor partnerships were key responsibilities. Arnaud has actively contributed to multiple educational and community organizations, including serving as an advisory board member and regional coordinator for Phi Theta Kappa. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Education with a focus on Community College Leadership from Walden University and multiple degrees from the University of Oregon and Southwestern Oregon Community College.
