Alec Subero

Alec Subero is an experienced aerospace engineering professional with a strong background in leadership and design roles across several prominent companies. Currently serving as Director of Engineering at Blue Origin since February 2023, Alec previously held the position of Chief Engineer for the SS3 Imagine and Inspire projects at Virgin Galactic from May 2018 to February 2023. Alec's tenure at Virgin Galactic also included multiple roles such as Project Engineer, Engineering Manager, and Lead Engineer, spanning from June 2013 to 2018. Before that, Alec worked at New Frontier Innovations, LLC as an engineer providing on-site support to Sierra Nevada Corporation, and held positions at Spirit AeroSystems and Cessna Aircraft Company. Educational credentials include a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and an MBA focused on Entrepreneurship and Finance from Wichita State University.
