Dan Christiansen

Dan Christiansen is the Senior Technical Director, Engineering Development at Blue Origin. Prior to this, they were the VP Professional Services at Vykor Inc from January 2002 to December 2006. There, they were responsible for recruiting, hiring, managing, and leading a cross-functional, subject-matter expert team across various departments including project management, design and manufacturing engineering, software product management, training, and technical sales support.

Dan has also worked as an Engineering Leader at The Boeing Company from August 1987 to January 2002. Throughout their career, Christiansen has focused on designing and delivering software / services solutions to customers which provided manufacturing process visibility into cost reduction for engineered parts throughout the product lifecycle. Their solutions have focused on supporting Integrated Product Development, Design to Cost, Design for Six Sigma, and Design for Manufacturing. In addition, they have developed solution strategy mapped to industry business needs across the market by consulting with industry technical and business leaders.

At Vykor Inc, Christiansen was also responsible for the creation and operational management of Vykor Professional Services Business Unit. Dan recruited, trained and enabled onshore and offshore Engineering Service Provider partners.
