Luis C. Alarcon

Luis C. Alarcon is a seasoned engineer specializing in avionics, controls, and automation with extensive experience in various engineering roles. Currently serving as a Senior Avionics, Instruments & GNC Engineer at Blue Origin since September 2021, Luis is responsible for the software design, development, installation, and commissioning of launch control systems. Prior roles include Senior PLC Safety and Controls Engineer at ALTEN, Controls Engineer at Ocado Engineering, and Senior Engineer, Controls Manager at Universal Creative, where project management and safety compliance were key responsibilities. Earlier experience includes a position as a Field Support Engineer at Rockwell Automation and ownership of Scrap Recycling International Inc. Luis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey and an EIT certification from Rockwell Automation.
