Laura Berland-Shane

Laura Berland-Shane has extensive work experience in the renewable energy and sustainability sector. Laura is currently the Vice President of Government Affairs at Blue Planet Systems, a company that uses waste carbon dioxide to manufacture synthetic limestone aggregate for carbon capture.

Previously, Laura held the positions of Southern California Director at Environmental Entrepreneurs (e2), Principal Consultant at Tellus Strategic Consulting, Director of Utility Account Management - West at Greenlots, and Director of Utility Markets - West at Comverge.

Laura also worked at Siemens Industry, where they served as the Business Development Manager for the Solar Vertical Market Management Division and Renewable Energy Business Development Manager. Additionally, Laura held the position of Vice Chair of the Sustainable City Task Force at the City of Santa Monica.

Earlier in their career, Laura was the Southern California Sales Director at SolarCity and the Chief Operating Officer at Permacity Corp.

Throughout their career, Laura has demonstrated a strong commitment to promoting sustainable practices and driving the adoption of renewable energy solutions.

Laura Berland-Shane has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance from The Wharton School. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate education at Brown University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in International Relations. Laura also attended the Ethical Culture Fieldston School, although specific details regarding their degree and field of study are unavailable. Additionally, they obtained a LEED AP certification in July 2008.
