Blue Ridge Power (BRP) is seeking a Project Administrator to join our team! The Project Administrator will manage administrative, clerical, and labor compliance tasks related to specific projects, businesses, or technical units. They will also ensure that prevailing wage laws and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) are adhered to for these projects. The Project Administrator may also be required to assist with multiple project-based tasks, including Time Keeping, HR, and Goods Receipt.

The position is located on-site at our project locations.  

What You'll Do:

  • Prepares periodic payroll-related reports, analyses, and statements tied to project requirements.
  • Manage and oversee the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), prevailing wage laws, and Certified Payroll. 
  • Use specialized software for certified payroll and other requirement documents with prevailing wages.
  • Conduct reviews of sub-contractor’s Certified Payroll Registers and compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate and track all prevailing wage projects within LPC Tracker.
  • Ensure compliance with prevailing wage laws on applicable IRA projects. 
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Teams to ensure data is correct and submitted on time. 
  • Support LCP tracker training for subcontractors and internal employees. 
  • Assist direct supervisor in designing processes to enhance workflow.
  • Provide weekly updates to the direct supervisor regarding internal and external compliance.
  • Assist field team with report inquiries regarding hours or employee data.
  • Act as HR liaison between the project site and corporate offices to report on-site hires, terminations, and performance management concerns to necessary stakeholders.
  • Manage pre-boarding and orientation.
  • Provide customer service to internal and external stakeholders, answering inquiries, researching, locating, and providing appropriate information.
  • Keep an updated record of the delivery situation/Goods Receipt process.
  • Support the site team with different reporting needs as may be required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Must-Haves:

  • 4+ years’ experience in business administration.
  • 2+ years’ experience within finance and/or accounting, or payroll administrative roles or similar experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, and SharePoint).
  • Excellent organization and time management techniques. 
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to maintain the highest confidentiality and preserve data security.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Prior experience managing Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) compliance, Prevailing wages, and Certified payroll.
  • Prior timekeeping, HR, and goods receipt experience.

Education and Certifications:

  • Associate degree in accounting, business administration, human resources, or a related field is required. 
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, human resources, or a related field is preferred.

Working Environment and Physical Demand:

  • This position is 80% remote with 20% of time being on-site at our project site in Branch, MI. 
  • Occasional travel up to 10% may be required to office locations in Asheville, NC, Fayetteville, NC, or other project sites. 
  • Must be able to sit/stand at a desk and utilize a computer for extended periods of time. 
  • Be on time and ready to work at the start of each standard shift.
  • Must always wear personnel protective equipment while on the project site (i.e., Hard hats, safety glasses, safety harnesses, ear protection, fire retardant clothing, as required) and respirators when required.
