Brian Hoover

Brian Hoover has held various positions in the engineering and sailing fields since 2007. Brian began their career as an Intern at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI) in 2007. In 2010, they took on the role of Sailing Instructor at the Lido Island Yacht Club. The following year, they were an Engineering Intern at Skim-Pak and a Sailing Instructor at the Newport Harbor Yacht Club. In 2012, they were the Lead Mechanical Engineer for the Robotic Rescue Senior Design Project, where they coordinated the design and building of four autonomous, search and rescue robots and personally designed and implemented the electronics and sensor system. From 2013 to 2017, they were a Mechanical Design Engineer at Kepner Plastics Fabricators and then a Robotics Engineer at Blue Robotics Inc.

Brian Hoover received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine between 2008 and 2013.
