Jeremy Elam

Jeremy Elam has over 16 years of work experience in various roles related to DevOps, cloud systems engineering, and network administration.

Starting in 2005, Jeremy worked as a Desktop Support Engineer at Franklin Collection Services. Jeremy then joined Dixie-net in 2006, where they served as a Systems Administrator and later as a Helpdesk Technician, providing technical support to customers in mixed Linux, Windows, and Cisco environments.

In 2014, Jeremy joined The People's Bank as a Network Administrator, where they managed the bank's network infrastructure across multiple branches and led a technology upgrade initiative.

In 2018, they joined Renasant Bank as a System Administrator II, responsible for driving automation efforts and creating Active Directory infrastructure for new branches.

In 2019, Jeremy moved to ServiceMaster as a DevOps Engineer, working on Ansible playbooks, Ansible Tower, and leading a move from Jenkins to Azure DevOps.

In 2021, they joined The Walt Disney Company as a Cloud Systems Engineer, focusing on automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform.

Finally, in 2021, Jeremy joined uLab Systems, Inc. as a Senior DevOps Engineer, where they designed new cloud infrastructure and implemented automation through Terraform modules.

Currently, Jeremy works as a Senior DevOps Engineer at Blue Sentry Cloud, where they continue to contribute to cloud infrastructure and automation projects.

Jeremy Elam attended ITT Technical Institute from 2004 to 2006, where they obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in IT - Computer Network Systems.

In terms of additional certifications, Jeremy has obtained several certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Jeremy became an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional in May 2023, an AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate in December 2022, an AWS Certified Developer - Associate in September 2022, and two AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certifications in July 2022.

Furthermore, Jeremy holds an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification that they obtained in June 2020. Jeremy is also certified as a HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate since June 2020.
