Ellen Sexton

Ellen Sexton is a seasoned healthcare executive currently serving as Chief Growth Officer at Blue Shield of California since December 2024. Prior to this role, Ellen held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Curative from November 2023 to December 2024 and served as Chief Executive Officer at ES Healthcare Advisory and Consulting, advising private equity firms and healthcare organizations on strategic initiatives from September 2022 to February 2024. Previously, Ellen was Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Specialty and Group Benefits at Humana, overseeing medical, dental, vision, and life offerings for 14 million members with P&L responsibilities of $3 billion from October 2020 to August 2022. Additionally, Ellen contributed to maternal health initiatives as part of the Governor's Health Equity Council in the State of Wisconsin. Ellen holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business and completed an Executive Leadership Program at The Wharton School.
