Susan Smith

Susan Smith, PMP, currently serves as a Senior Strategic Advisor at Blue Sky Innovators, Inc since October 2022. Prior to this role, Susan accumulated extensive experience over 23 years with the US Navy, where responsibilities included serving as a Strategic Planning Specialist at the Pentagon as well as a Naval Flight Officer. Additional roles included leadership positions in operational planning and maintenance, emphasizing budget compliance and equipment readiness. In early 2022, Susan participated as a Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellow with Grant Thornton Public Sector. Academically, Susan holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the United States Naval Academy, a Master of Arts in International Relations & Homeland Security from Salve Regina University, a Master of Arts in National Security Policy Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, and completed the Maritime Advanced Warfighting School for Military Joint Operations Planning and Strategy.
