Kathy Roth-Douquet has a diverse work experience spanning multiple positions and industries. In 2009, they founded and led Blue Star Families, the nation's largest chapter-based national non-profit for military families. During their tenure, they established Blue Star Welcome Week, aimed at bridging the civilian-military divide and empowering military and Veteran families.

From 2015 to 2019, they served as the Co-Director of Summit Institute at Summit Powder Mountain, where they were responsible for board development, strategic direction, funding, and implementation of Summit Institute Labs. Here, they facilitated workshops on various cutting-edge issues.

Kathy also held the role of Special Counsel at Revolution Ventures from 2008 to 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Legal Advisor at CNA Corporation, providing legal counsel and advice on strategic direction and special projects.

Additionally, Kathy Roth-Douquet served as an Adjunct Faculty at Princeton University in 2020 and as a Panel Attorney at Appellate Defenders Inc from 2004 to 2011. Kathy also provided advisory services to Obama for America and Veterans for Obama in 2008 and 2007, respectively. Before venturing into non-profit and legal roles, they worked as an Associate Attorney at Seltzer Caplan McMahon Vitek from 2002 to 2003. As a Strategic Communications Consultant, they offered their services independently from 2000 to 2009.

Kathy Roth-Douquet graduated from Bryn Mawr College in 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Government. Kathy then attended Princeton University from 1989 to 1991, earning a Master's degree in Public Affairs (MPA) with a focus on International Affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School. In 1999, Kathy enrolled at the University of San Diego School of Law, where they completed their Juris Doctor (JD) degree in Law in 2003.
