Zaid Hetavkar

Zaid Hetavkar is a seasoned professional in the field of Research and Development, currently serving as Manager R&D at Blue Star Limited since July 2022. In this role, Zaid oversees a team focused on logic development and system validation for diverse commercial products, including Chillers, VRF, and Cold Storage Units, while also developing innovative algorithms to enhance system reliability and optimize costs. Previously, Zaid held the position of Deputy Manager R&D at Blue Star Limited from January 2014 to 2022, specializing in the same areas and contributing to the patenting of algorithms that improve product reliability and cost efficiency. Earlier in the career, Zaid worked as Assistant Manager in R&D, where responsibilities included the design, development, and testing of Chillers. Zaid holds a Master of Technology in Thermal Engineering from COEP Technological University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology.
