Leandro Santos

Leandro Santos has over 10 years of experience in finance and accounting. In 2010, they began their career as an Audit Senior at KPMG Brasil, one of the Big Four auditors. Leandro was responsible for preparing external audit procedures, financial statements, and internal controls, and managed team members in a highly effective manner. In 2014, they moved to Lupo S.A., a leader in retail in the country of Brazil, as a Financial Controller. Here, they led all financial aspects of the business as well as business planning, P&L, balance sheets, and liquid planning. Leandro also directed a team of finance professionals and decreased company costs by 10%. In 2017, they joined Big Dutchman Brasil as a Financial Controller for a multinational German company. Leandro was responsible for directing the company in financial, accounting, and tax requirements with a focus on cost savings and increased efficiency. In 2019, they became an Assistant Financial Controller for Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites Hotels at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®). In this role, they provided management, leadership and accountability for the financial performance of the two hotels properties and supported the Financial Controller in meeting the strategic goals of the company. Most recently, in 2020, they joined Bluebella Ltd as a Finance Manager and Senior Management Accountant. Leandro supported in ensuring effective and accurate month end preparation (Accruals and Prepayments), budgetary controls, forecasting, management accounting and departmental reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting and Tax regulations. Leandro also supported finance and accountant assistants in their daily tasks.

Leandro Santos has a varied educational background. Leandro is currently pursuing a Full Qualification from CIMA, which they began in 2021 and is expected to complete in 2023. In 2020, they earned a CIMA Operational Level Certificate in Accounting from CIMA and a Certificate in Business Accounting from CIMA. Leandro also holds a Bachelor's degree in Chartered Accountant by Brazilian Association (ACCA equivalent) which they obtained between 2010 and 2015. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Advanced English from The Academy School (London), as well as Audit Certificates Levels 1, 2, and 3 from KPMG Auditores Independentes and a Technical Entrepreneurs certification from KPMG Auditores Independentes.
