Sarah Zhang

Sarah Zhang is a multifaceted professional currently serving as a Research & Data Analyst at Vocal Media, where the focus is on supporting equity and opportunity through digital media. Concurrently, Sarah holds positions as an Organizer for NextGen America and a Political Data Fellow with Bluebonnet Data, leveraging programming skills and technology to enhance youth voter engagement and data management for the Mecklenburg County Democratic Party. As the Founder and Internal Affairs & Media Chair of the Affirmative Action Coalition, Sarah has mobilized students to advocate for diversity in higher education. Additional roles include Research Assistant at the UNC Department of Political Science, Podcast Host for Bucks County Beacon, Webmaster for UNC Student Government, and Undergraduate Teaching Assistant in the UNC Department of Computer Science. Sarah also served as Director of Alumni Relations at the Institute for Youth in Policy. Pursuing dual Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Computer and Information Sciences from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Sarah showcases a strong commitment to progressive politics, data analysis, and community engagement.
