Maria Alphonsa then worked as a Student Research Assistant at Amrita Center of Nanoscience, where they focused on nanoparticle synthesis and microbial studies.

In 2016, Maria joined Bluebonnet Nutrition as a Microbiologist, responsible for ensuring the quality of raw materials and monitoring the microbiological quality of the environment. Maria Alphonsa later transitioned to the role of Analytical Scientist, where they performed routine testing of materials using analytical techniques such as ICP-OES and HPLC.
