Alex Pate

Alex Pate has over 20 years of work experience. From 2000-2005, they were a General Service Tech at Goodyear, a Printer Operator at Parallax Digital, and a Helpdesk Analyst at Intelliteach. From 2005-2010, they were a Solutions Consultant at DocAuto, Inc., where their main responsibilities focused on the internal system's health, maintenance, and setup, as well as supporting services techs. In their final months, they moved into a development role focusing on Unit and Integration test. From 2010-2015, they were a Front End Developer at Codesmith Development, where they built a calendar/patient scheduling app and an in-browser PDF markup tool. From 2016-2018, they were a Software Engineer at Predikto, where they built and maintained the UI for internal tooling and contributed to the creation of a cmd line app. From 2018-2019, they were a Software Engineer at United Technologies, where they continued to build out and support the Predikto platform and rewrote the REST based tooling with Python 3. Finally, from 2019-2020, they were a Software Engineer and Software Engineer Manager at BetterCloud.

Alex Pate attended The Art Institutes from 2000 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts and Animation. In 2013, they obtained a Computing for Data Analysis certification from Coursera. In 2015, they completed a twelve week programming boot camp at The Iron Yard, specializing in Front End Engineering.
