Thomas Stanford

Thomas Stanford has over 30 years of work experience in actuarial operations and financial reporting. Thomas began their career at Nationwide Insurance Company in 1987, where they served as the Manager of Special Projects. Thomas then moved on to become the Chief Actuary at Merchants Insurance Group from 1991 to 1997. Following that, they worked as the Vice President and Actuary at Odyssey America Re from 1997 to 2002. Thomas then joined Ernst & Young Bermuda as the Director of Actuarial Operations from 2002 to 2008. After that, they served as the Chief Reserving Actuary at Flagstone Reinsurance Holdings Ltd. from 2008 to 2010. Currently, they are the Director of Reserves & Financial Reporting at Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York, a position they have held since 2011.

Thomas Stanford attended SUNY at Stony Brook from 1976 to 1981, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics & Mathematics.
