Raquel Summers

Raquel Summers has extensive work experience in various roles related to operations and excellence in supply chain and automotive manufacturing industries.

Raquel is currently working as the Chief Operations Officer at Bluegrass Supply Chain, a position they have held since February 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Vice President of Operations at the same company from July 2021 to February 2022.

Before joining Bluegrass Supply Chain, Raquel worked at Dorman Products where they held multiple leadership positions. From November 2020 to July 2021, they were the Vice President of Strategic Operations Initiatives. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of Operational Excellence from January 2016 to November 2020, overseeing a team of over 40 professionals across five locations. Raquel also worked as the Director of Operational Excellence from January 2011 to January 2016 and as the Operational Excellence Manager from March 2008 to January 2011.

Earlier in their career, Raquel worked at Ingersoll Rand as an Operations Manager from June 2007 to March 2008. Raquel also gained valuable experience at IAC Group where they held the position of Lean Manufacturing Engineering Manager from 1998 to 2007. In this role, they were responsible for certifications and materials quality control, and was trained as a Toyota Production Systems Lean Leader, leading numerous cost-saving initiatives.

Raquel Summers has a strong educational background, with multiple degrees and certifications. Raquel began their education in 1993 at The University of Akron, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. During their time at the university, they also earned three minors in Chemistry, Mathematics, and a specialization in Polymer/Plastics Engineering. This period lasted until 1998.

After a brief break, Raquel returned to their studies in 2003 and attended the University of Phoenix. Raquel successfully completed a Master's degree in Business Administration in 2005.

Additionally, Raquel Summers obtained an Associate's degree in Pharmacy from Kent State University, where they studied from 1993 to 1995.

Continuing their professional development, Raquel obtained a certification in High Impact Presenter from Dale Carnegie Training in August 2020.
