Katie Acevedo

Katie Acevedo has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the field of human resources and employment law. Katie is currently the Head of People & Talent at Bluemercury, where they focus on the development of the company's HR vision and supports employee engagement and retention. Prior to this, Katie held leadership positions at SEPHORA, including Vice President of Human Resources and Senior Director of Employee Relations and Compliance. Katie also served as an Associate General Counsel, providing legal support to a large workforce across multiple countries. Before joining SEPHORA, Katie worked as a Partner and Head of Human Resources at The Mitzel Group, where they provided employment law counsel and designed recruitment practices. Katie started their career as a Labor and Employment Attorney at ABM Industries and later worked at Winston & Strawn LLP and O'Melveny & Myers, where they represented clients on various employment law matters.

Katie Acevedo has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law and Society and History from UC Santa Barbara. Katie also holds a Doctor of Law degree (JD) from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings).
