Edward Badal

Edward is an accountant by training, a strategist by instinct, and an entrepreneur and science geek at heart, which all are the foundation of his more than ten years of professional experience serving the life science and manufacturing sectors. He has extensive experience in the areas of cost accounting, financial analysis, strategic planning, forecasting, modeling, and corporate finance, among others.

Prior to joining BlueNalu, Edward was with JELD-WEN, Inc. (NYSE: JELD) where he was responsible for the finance and accounting department of a manufacturing plant that produced high end customized large-opening door systems. Edward has also held finance and accounting roles at Signature Analytics, CRF Health (now Signant Health), and LPL Financial. He has also worked as a consultant, specializing in life science and technology companies where he provided key insights and planning for startups. Additionally, Edward was also a co-founder of a healthcare startup several years ago that combined telemedicine, electronic medical records, and health risk algorithms into a seamless online platform. Throughout his career in these various roles, he has helped raise almost $50 million in total investment. His passion for the sciences is driven by the desire to leverage technology to have a lasting positive impact in other people’s lives around the world.

Edward has an MS in accountancy from the University of Illinois and a BS in business management from San Diego State University. He is also a Certified Management Accountant.
