   Legal Consultant: Transactions and Investment Operations
(1-year contract)

Key tasks

• Work closely with BlueOrchard Finance (BOF) investment officers, representatives of client financial institutions (FIs) as well as local legal counsel to support the BlueOrchard legal team in the execution and documentation of private debt investments;

• Liaise with BO investment officers, the BO legal department, and the BO Operations team to develop and process amendments/waivers and other supplemental deal documents post-disbursement;

• Play a key role in the development and implementation of process improvements and the overall growth of the transactional legal function;

• Manage deal flow and transactional timelines in support of senior attorneys and investment team leaders;

• This is a contract position with an initial term of one year and the possibility of renewal and/or transition to permanent legal team membership based on performance and team requirements.

Required skills and experience

• Degree in law and at least 2 years professional experience;

• Exceptional organization and project management skills;

• Experience in legal operations and commercial transactions;

• Experience in banking and/or financial services is an advantage particularly if you have knowledge in house legal operations and transaction processing;

• Experience working with CRM/database platforms is an advantage;

• Total professional fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
