Magnus Weikert

Magnus Weikert has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Magnus currently holds a senior leadership position as the Senior Vice President of Business Development for the Nordics at BlueOrchard Finance Ltd since March 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Vice President of Business Development for the Nordics at the same company from April 2021 to March 2023.

In 2019, Magnus worked as the Director of Business Development at Alternative Equity Partners A/S until April 2020. Magnus also gained significant experience in the field of sustainable investments during their time at IWC (International Woodland Company) from 2009 to 2018. At IWC, they held the position of Director of Business Development from September 2013 to October 2018 and Business Development Manager from July 2009 to August 2013. During these roles, Magnus focused on fundraising, marketing, and providing strategic advice, while also conducting European institutional sales activities and successfully fundraising for private timberland FoFs.

Earlier in their career, Magnus worked at Aberdeen Standard Investments as the Head of Fundraising from January 2008 to March 2009 and as an Associate from July 2007 to December 2007. Magnus also gained experience as a Fund Associate at BPT Asset Management from August 2006 to June 2007 and as a Financial Analyst at UK STRUCTURED FINANCE from November 2005 to May 2006. Magnus began their professional journey at INSTITUTIONAL SHAREHOLDER SERVICES EUROPE as a Corporate Governance Analyst from February 2004 to October 2005, where they conducted research, report writing, and analysis on UK listed companies.

Magnus Weikert completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Business and Economics from Lund University between 1998 and 2002. Magnus then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Corporate Strategy and Governance from the University of Nottingham from 2003 to 2004.
