Eric Hundman, PhD has a diverse work experience in various academic and research positions. Eric is currently working as a Senior Research Analyst in BluePath Labs. Prior to that, they worked as a Lecturer at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Eric also served as a Senior China Analyst at the China Office of Finnish Industries from 2022 to 2023. Eric was an Assistant Professor of Political Science at New York University Shanghai from 2017 to 2022, where they published multiple-award winning research and taught courses. Eric started their career as a Translator and Editor at Modern Chinese History Studies from 2014 to 2017. Eric has also worked as a U.S. Foreign Policy and International Security Fellow at Dartmouth College from 2016 to 2017. Eric pursued their dissertation research at the University of Chicago from 2008 to 2016, where they also served as a Grodzins Prize Lecturer. Prior to that, Eric worked as an Editor at EssayEdge and as a Columnist at Foreign Policy. Eric started their career as a Science Fellow at the Center for Defense Information. Eric Hundman, PhD has a strong background in political science, international relations, and China studies, with expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods.

Eric Hundman, PhD, has a strong education background in political science and Mandarin Chinese. Eric completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Political Science at Yale University from 2001 to 2005. In 2008, they enrolled at the University of Chicago and earned a Master of Arts degree in Political Science. Eric continued their studies at the University of Chicago and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Political Science in 2016. During their educational journey, Hundman also pursued language studies. From 2010 to 2010, they participated in the Princeton in Beijing program at Princeton University, focusing on Chinese language acquisition. Additionally, from 2012 to 2014, they attended the National Taiwan University, where they participated in the International Chinese Language Program, further enhancing their Mandarin Chinese skills.
