Gabriel Silva

Gabriel Silva has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as the Product Development Director and previously as the Head of Galenical Development at Bluepharma since January 2009. Responsibilities primarily include leading the Product Development Team, overseeing the coordination and management of pharmaceutical development activities, optimizing dosage forms, managing scale-up and validation processes, ensuring technology transfer, and implementing continuous product and process improvements using a Risk Based and Quality by Design approach, as well as preparing EMA and FDA ANDA dossiers. Prior to this role, Gabriel worked as a Research Fellow in Product Development at Bluepharma Ind. Pharm. S.A. from September 2004 to January 2009, focusing on the development of solid and liquid pharmaceutical dosage forms. Gabriel holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Faculdade de Farmacia Universidade de Coimbra and completed a postgraduate program in business management at Porto Business School in 2015.
