Sunitha Rangaraju

Sunitha Rangaraju, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the medical and pharmaceutical industry. Sunitha has held various roles in companies such as Blueprint Medicines, UCB, Ignyta (acquired by Roche-Genentech), Nascent Medical, and The Scripps Research Institute.

At Blueprint Medicines, they worked as a Principal Medical Science Liaison - Director, where they provided insights and recommendations based on interactions with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and engaged in collaborations to support launch teams and medical affairs strategies.

Prior to that, they served as a Medical Science Liaison - Associate Director at UCB, where they focused on the development of precision targeted therapies in various cancer types and worked on multiple product launches.

At Ignyta (now Roche-Genentech), Sunitha worked as a Precision Medicine Liaison, establishing relationships with KOLs to raise awareness about targeted therapy for solid tumors.

Sunitha also has experience in business development as the Director of Business Development at Nascent Medical, LLC, where they connected clients with medical communication solutions.

Additionally, they gained research experience during their time at The Scripps Research Institute, where they served as a Senior Postdoctoral Research Fellow and conducted preclinical trials in neuromuscular disease, contributed to blood biomarker discovery, and performed market research and business case studies.

Sunitha started their career as a Summer Intern and Visiting Students' Research Program Fellow at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research.

Sunitha Rangaraju, Ph.D. received their Ph.D. in Neuroscience and Biomedical Science from the University of Florida in the period of 2005 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Industrial Biotechnology at Anna University from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, Sunitha Rangaraju has obtained several certifications including a Project Management Course Graduate from IGNYTA, Inc. in 2018, a Micro-MBA from the University of California, San Diego - Rady School of Management in 2014, a Life Science Immersion Program Certificate from BIOCOM Institute in 2011, and a CME Certificate with Commendation from InQuill Medical Communications in 2010.
