From 2006 to 2007, they were a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Datacom-Telematica, where they developed embedded software for Telecommunication Devices using C. From 2007 to 2011, they were a Power Systems Engineer - Supervision & Automation at CEEE-GT, where they developed Control and Supervisory Systems (EMS/SCADA) software and managed and coordinated operations. From 2011 to 2018, they were a Backend Lead & Senior Cybersecurity Engineer at Blueprint Power, where they designed and developed Backend software and CyberSecurity solutions for the secure command and control of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) and Energy Market Integrations. Fernando Covatti obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in 2007. Fernando then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the same university, which they completed in 2014. Following this, they obtained a Software Engineering Specialization from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in 2017. Most recently, they completed a Specialization in Cyber Security from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in 2019, with a focus on Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance.
