Dan Shimmerman

Dan Shimmerman is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in leading technology companies. As Chief Executive Officer of Blueprint Software Systems since April 2014, Dan has successfully transformed a distressed Global Enterprise SaaS company with an annual recurring revenue of less than $1 million at the time of joining. Since February 2023, Dan has also served as CEO for Nexsan, a global hardware and software business, where efforts have focused on stabilizing operations and realigning the company post-bankruptcy. Previously, Dan co-founded Varicent and held the role of CEO from November 2005 to December 2013, contributing to the establishment of an Enterprise SaaS business. Earlier in Dan's career, significant achievements included serving as Global Enterprise Sales Director at Clarity Systems, where Dan excelled in selling enterprise budgeting software to Fortune 1000 clients. Dan holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Toronto and is a Chartered Professional Accountant in Canada.
