Panagiotis Douvaras

Associate Director, CNS Cell Biology at BlueRock Therapeutics

Panagiotis Douvaras has extensive work experience in the field of stem cell biology and neuroscience. Panagiotis began their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Department of Hematology & Oncology in 2010. Following this, they joined The New York Stem Cell Foundation, where they held various roles including Staff Scientist and Senior Staff Scientist from 2011 to 2018. Currently, they are working at BlueRock Therapeutics as an Associate Director, CNS Cell Biology since 2018 and previously held the position of Senior Scientist, CNS Pipeline from 2018 to 2022.

Panagiotis Douvaras earned a BSc in Molecular Biology & Genetics from the Democritus University of Thrace - (D.U.Th.) from 2000 to 2004. Panagiotis then pursued an MRes in Life Sciences and a PhD in Stem Cell Biology, both at The University of Edinburgh, from 2005 to 2006 and 2006 to 2010, respectively.
