Nicola Pastorello

Nicola Pastorello has over 9 years of work experience in various roles related to advanced analytics, AI solutions, deep learning, and data science. Nicola currently serves as the Global Lead - Advanced Analytics at Bluescope since August 2019. Prior to that, they worked as an AI Solutions Manager at daisee, an Australian AI software company, from January 2018 until August 2019. Before that, they served as the Deep Learning and Data Science Practice Lead at Deakin Software and Technology Innovation Lab from May 2016 to January 2018. Nicola also has experience as a Data Scientist at Swinburne Software Innovation Centre and LAPED, where they worked on developing machine learning classification methods and marketing/business strategies. Nicola also served as an Assistant Researcher at the University of Hertfordshire.

Nicola Pastorello received a Laurea Magistrale degree in Astronomy from Università degli Studi di Padova between 2004 and 2010. Later, between 2012 and 2015, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics from Swinburne University of Technology.
