Joshua Turek

Joshua Turek has a diverse work experience in various industries. Joshua started their career as a BLS/Lifeguard Instructor at The University of Toledo, where they led employee certifications, in-services, and served on the Rec Audit team. Joshua then interned as an Information Technology Summer Intern at Owens Corning, where they gained experience in business process design, system specifications development, and end user training.

Joshua Turek then joined the United States Air Force as an Electronic Warfare specialist, where they worked from August 2018 to April 2022. In this role, they specialized in electronic warfare operations.

Following their military service, Joshua Turek worked as an Information Technology Support Analyst at HBR Consulting. Their responsibilities included serving as a help desk point of contact for users, familiarizing with Windows Configuration Manager and Azure Active Directory.

Joshua Turek also served in the Air National Guard as a Cyber Defense Operations Reservist, where they responded to disruptions, tested and implemented network defense resources, and conducted threat and vulnerability assessments.

In their most recent role as a Security Operations Center Analyst at Blueshift Cybersecurity, Joshua Turek has demonstrated skills in using Kibana and ELK stack, providing security alerts and recommendations to customers, incident response and management, cyber forensics, cyber threat detection and analysis, and insider threat detection.

Joshua Turek's education history is as follows:

In 2015 to 2018, Joshua obtained an Associate's degree in Computer Software and Application Programming and a Bachelor's degree in Information Engineering from The University of Toledo.

In 2020, Joshua earned an Associate's degree in Avionic Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force. Joshua also obtained an Associate's degree in Computer Science and a Certificate in Computer Networking from the University of Maryland.

From 2019 to 2021, Joshua pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Networks and Cyber Security from the University of Maryland.

In 2022, Joshua completed a Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity Management & Policy from the University of Maryland - The Graduate School.

Joshua continued their education at the University of Maryland - The Graduate School in 2022 and is expected to complete an MSc in Cyber Security Management & Policy in 2023.

Joshua has also obtained additional certifications including a Cybersecurity Management and Policy certification from the University of Maryland - The Graduate School, a CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA, and a Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) certification from (ISC)².
