Michael Philipse

Michael Philipse is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in business development within the oil and gas and marine industries across Southeast Asia. Currently serving as BD Representative for Bluewater Energy Services since January 2019, Michael maintains critical relationships with clients and partners to promote the company’s products and services. In December 2023, Michael assumed the role of Managing Director at 1FM Marine Sdn. Bhd., focusing on opportunities in the Malaysian market. As VP of Business Development at mpx energy sdn bhd since July 2018, Michael provides strategic consulting services leveraging regional expertise. Previous leadership roles include Head of Operations at Motor2u.com and VP of Business Development at SBM Offshore, where Michael successfully managed sales, negotiated contracts, and executed marketing strategies. Michael holds an MBA in Marketing Strategy and Finance from Duke University and an MSc in Chemical Process Engineering from Delft University of Technology.
