Michael Zimmer

Michael Zimmer is the Managing Director of Solar Development at BlueWave Solar. Prior to joining BlueWave, Michael was the Vice President of Development for New England at Soltage LLC from April 2017 to February 2021. Before that, they were the Senior Manager of Solar PV Project Development at Ameresco from February 2012 to April 2017, where they were responsible for securing project awards for commercial scale solar PV, structuring and negotiating power purchase contracts with municipal and private sector customers, and managing solar PV development engineering teams. Michael began their career in energy efficiency as an intern at Con Edison Solutions in May 2011 before becoming a Senior Consultant at The Beacon Group in April 2008.

Michael Zimmer completed their undergraduate degree at Connecticut College in Cellular and Molecular Biology. Michael then went on to Northeastern University to complete their Masters of Science in Energy Systems Engineering.
